Review: Canon 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS

Comments

I donlt think Canon have ever made what I would call a bad lens, however you can often get similar qulaity from third party manufacturers for a decent amount less, I have a 20D by the way :-)
Thanks for sharing the info... have you ever consider any of the Sigma lens?
I like Sigma a lot - I think they make a better lens than either Tamron or Tokina. I have the Sigma 10-20mm on my wish list. I think their optics are great, my only issue with third party lenses is their focusing speed. That doesn't matter for a wide angle but I want my walkabout lens to focus as quickly as possible. Also, the third party manufacturers have been slow on the uptake for active stabilization and I do like my IS.

Thanks for the comments guys.

[this is good]

That's a nice preview of the lense. You're right, there's so much to consider b4 getting a lense eg: if we work mainly in low-light or outdoor photography. and of course the $$ factor. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yep, I wish Sigma puts IS in more of their lense too.
