When Your Muse Goes on Vacation

Comments

Martin,

I perfectly agree on this post. I have often things to write but then I simply don't feel the urge to blurt everything on the blog. And I don't feel like I need to excuse myself with anybody for not writing anything on it for any length of time. The same goes for Flickr.
Actually I often go one step back and ask myself: what are the personal blogs for? I already wondered about 2 years ago about this - guess where? on my blog (here Part 1 and here Part 2)...
When a good answer to the "why personal blogs?" question is available, then maybe I will feel more compelled to write something more frequently - till then, "when I have time and I have something I want to share with the world" will continue to be my blog writing "rule" (if there is any such thing).
Martin,
I really could relate to your post, as I often find myself exactly here as as I attempt to think creatively, remain creative. Sometimes I wonder if I should force myself to shoot or to write when I don't feel I have anything to share, but that doesn't always work. For me when the routine of life feels like that's the way life is going to be for forever I lose my way, but when something changes, it seems to shake me from my lethargy and help me to notice what's happening around me and wakes the creative spirit slumbering inside.
